Where we look

Sources we watch

Human-made music doesn’t live in one place. The feed currently searches Audius, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, the Internet Archive, ccMixter and live radio — hundreds of thousands of independent uploads and stations, streamed directly in-app — while we watch streaming catalogues, radio archives, upload channels and independent label stores to weigh each source by how much provenance it actually exposes.

Audius

Live now

Our live catalogue. Audius is an open music network where every track carries a platform-set AI-attribution flag — so we can surface human uploads directly and stream them in-app.

Internet Archive

Live now

Netlabel releases, live concert tapes and community audio — permanent, dated item records that make provenance easy to trace. Streamed in-app.

ccMixter

Live now

Creative Commons remix community. Every upload comes from a named member, usually with stems and source credits attached. Streamed in-app.

Live radio

Live now

Thousands of community-indexed stations via Radio Browser. Radio is human programming by definition — a person picks the records. Plays in the same player.

Bandcamp

Live now

Artist- and label-run store pages with liner notes, credits and dated releases — the strongest provenance on the open web. Previews stream in-app; the buy page is one click away.

Spotify

On the watchlist

Broad reach, thin metadata. We lean on label pages and live history instead.

YouTube

Live now

Read as a curated channel allowlist, not an open search — currently the S!X - Music trip-hop label. Uploads carry artist and label credits, and play in-app through the embedded player.

SoundCloud

Live now

Where demos, live takes and unreleased edits land first. There is no platform AI flag, so we screen uploads for generative-audio markers before they reach the feed. Streamed in-app.

NTS Radio

On the watchlist

Live broadcasts with count-ins, chatter and mistakes intact.

Vinyl / Label

On the watchlist

Physical pressings with printed personnel; slow but near-conclusive.

Ingestion

Live source status

Each source is probed with a live sample query. Times below are when that probe last completed on the server.
