How we decide
Verification criteria
No detector is perfect, and we don't pretend otherwise. Instead of guessing from the audio alone, we look for evidence that people were in a room. A track earns a human score from these five signals; anything below 85 stays in review.

Performance evidence
Unedited session video, live broadcast audio, or multi-camera studio footage where the take on the record matches the take on screen.

Named credits
Players, engineers and studios listed by name, cross-checked against label pages, union filings or conservatory archives.

Physical artefacts
Tape hiss, room tone, pedal noise, page turns, breath. Analogue imperfection that survives the mixdown instead of being polished away.

Live history
Ticketed performances, tour dates, venue confirmations and audience recordings that can be cross-matched with the release.
- 05
Curator review
Two listeners on the panel sign off before a track moves from 'in review' to 'verified human'. Disagreement keeps it in review.
A generated track can imitate a mistake. It has a harder time imitating a Tuesday night in a half-empty club, on video, with forty people who remember being there.
